Parent and Child Care Subsidy information

Preparing for a day at EELC

We enjoy seeing the happy faces of our children when they arrive at the Centre. Here are some tips on how to make the day go as smoothly as possible.

What to wear:

We encourage you to dress your children in appropriate clothing. Please keep in mind the weather and that your child will be actively engaging in exploratory and creative experiences, which can get a bit messy sometimes.

What to bring

Please bring these items every day your child attends the Centre.
Your child’s belongings must be clearly labelled with their full name.

Star Star

A Backpack

This needs to have enough space to carry everything.

Star Star

Spare clothes

Sometimes the weather changes, or we get mucky during the day! Please include long and short-sleeve tops, pants, shorts/skirt and a jacket.

Star Star

Water bottle

Your child will need to bring a water bottle each day with their name clearly written on the bottle.

Star Star

A sun-safe hat

Hats are worn throughout the year regardless of weather conditions so your child’s face, neck and ears are protected. We recommend you apply sunscreen to your child every day before bringing them to the Centre. This encourages good sun-safe habits from an early age.

Star Star

Bottles/formula

If required. Please bring already-prepared bottles to be placed in the fridge and warmed as needed. Please ensure your child’s name is clearly on the bottle as well as on the bottle lids.

Star Star

Comforter

If required. Where possible, please make sure your child’s name is on their comforter.

Meals and nutrition

We provide five nutritionally balanced meals each day:

  • breakfast
  • morning tea
  • lunch
  • afternoon tea and
  • late afternoon tea.

Whole milk and light milk are served to suit the daily menu, and fresh water is available throughout the day.

A 3-week rotating menu is displayed on the kitchen door, and the daily menu is available on our app.

Child Care Subsidy (CCS) Rebate information

We are a recognised childcare provider and are registered for the Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS). This was established to make early learning and childcare more accessible for a large number of Australian families.

We’re here to help you understand your CCS entitlements and the enrolment options we offer that may assist in meeting the CCS hourly cap. We provide guidance so you and your child can make the most of any entitlements and benefits available.

How does the CCS work?

The Child Care Subsidy is paid directly to providers (the service) and is passed on to the families as a fee reduction. Families then only pay the service the difference between the fee charged and the subsidised amount.

You can use the Centrelink payment and service finder to calculate your estimated entitlements.
